Welcome!

This is a humorous and sarcastic blog written by a paralegal in a mid-sized law firm in a mid-tier market. The goal is to share some of the pitfalls and foibles encountered in my own day-to-day experiences. Feel free to contact me at aparalegalslife@gmail.com with comments. Complaints, not so much :)

Post-Trial Workload

After a long trial ends, there is inevitably a mountain of things to be done, not just in that case but for numerous other matters.  Especially when you work for multiple attorneys in multiple cases.

Everyone NOT involved in the trial has been chomping at the bit to get me back on their work.  Nearly the moment the trial was over, I was overwhelmed with dozens of e-mails with "urgent" projects.

When you consider that there's 20-some paralegals in this office, all of them with similar levels of competence and experience, it begs the question why none of the other paralegals worked on these projects if they were so "urgent" that I have to do them immediately.

Sigh.
