Welcome!

This is a humorous and sarcastic blog written by a paralegal in a mid-sized law firm in a mid-tier market. The goal is to share some of the pitfalls and foibles encountered in my own day-to-day experiences. Feel free to contact me at aparalegalslife@gmail.com with comments. Complaints, not so much :)

It's Like I'm Nostradamus

A few months ago, I posted about the importance of paralegals being mobile.  Prophetically, that sage advice has come back to haunt me.  A new associate is starting next week, and guess who's office they need?

Yep, I'm being evicted from the last room left that can be technically called an "office".  My new home will be a storage room.  For now, I won't even have a desk.  Just a fold-up work table and a rolling file cabinet.  Yay.  At least it's out of the way and they haven't put me in a high-traffic area where everyone can silently mock my misfortune.

I'm told that additional offices are being planned, but there's no timeline yet.  I'm half expecting the new offices to be in the third sub-basement right next to the emergency generator and sump-pumps.

Excuse me, but you borrowed my red Swingline stapler...

Hello! I could have sworn I've been to this website before but after reading through some of the post I realized it's new to
me. Anyways, I'm definitely happy I found it and I'll be
book-marking and checking back frequently!
