Welcome!

This is a humorous and sarcastic blog written by a paralegal in a mid-sized law firm in a mid-tier market. The goal is to share some of the pitfalls and foibles encountered in my own day-to-day experiences. Feel free to contact me at aparalegalslife@gmail.com with comments. Complaints, not so much :)

What's Pissing Me Off This Week - March 9, 2012

1.  Helpless Attorneys.  As Namby Pamby recently covered, there seems to be a rash of attorneys too helpless to do basic tasks, like printing.  Which is odd, because printers outnumber people in our office.  Every person in our office has their very own printer, plus we have several multi-function ones scattered around.  Why, then, do they waste time e-mailing me something to print, when that takes longer than clicking "print"?

2.  Office Manager.  She seems to be going out of her way to interfere in everything this week.  It's really getting on my last reserve nerve.

3.  Co-Counsel.  Seriously, why are they so damned needy?  You hired us, so back the F off and let us do our job.

4.  Traffic.  It's been especially heinous this week.  I sit at one particular traffic light every day, because it's timed such that there's no way to hit it except when it's just turned to red and you have to sit through the full 120-second cycle.  I figured out that over the past 15 years I've spent over 125 hours just waiting for that one light to change.  That's more than five full days.
