In the grand scheme, this one is pretty minor. Garbled communication with the Sheriff's office, we thought they did A and B, turns out they only did A, but we already submitted an Affidavit to the Court representing they did A and B. Now we have to backtrack and look foolish.
Moral of the story: Always double-check what you're told by a government entity. It always seems to be wrong, incomplete or misleading.

Ewww, yuck. That is so frustrating! You would think we'd be able to trust other professionals, but sadly, no.
That's assuming people at the Sheriff's office can be referred to as "professionals". I don't, since they are all political appointees. Fortunately, the current long-time Sheriff lost a primary challenge and will be replaced. Hopefully certain of his staff will go along with him.
