Freedom

Departing from the usual Snarkasm, I must address the reason for this holiday.  We of the internet take our freedoms for granted.  My father, grandfather and numerous great-uncles fought bravely, in circumstances we can barely understand, to protect our right to complain in public.  Many of them died protecting our ability to exercise that right.  It may be easy for us now to expect that right as a foregone conclusion, but we must not forget the fact that millions have died to preserve that right.  Freedom is preserved by the blood of those who volunteer to give their lives.
