Welcome!

This is a humorous and sarcastic blog written by a paralegal in a mid-sized law firm in a mid-tier market. The goal is to share some of the pitfalls and foibles encountered in my own day-to-day experiences. Feel free to contact me at aparalegalslife@gmail.com with comments. Complaints, not so much :)

...is paved with good intentions

Normally I try to avoid political issues in this blog, mostly because it generates a lot of  hate e-mails.  But this morning I came into my office, looked out the window and saw something that I just had to mention.

The Occupy movement finally figured out where the law firms are in my city.  Right now, I can see a group of them staked out in a little park.  For months, they were camped out near several Bank buildings.  Apparently, they’ve decided to target BigLaw firms that represent the 1%.  Because we all know that Lawyers will readily drop their richest clients over some well-meaning political protests.

And now the police have arrived.  This should be interesting.  Excuse me while I go watch the festivities.

Update: Cops gone, protesters still there but now they are not blocking the sidewalk. No sign of a hackey sack yet.
